Doing well with money isn’t necessarily about what you know. It’s about how you behave. And behavior is hard to teach, even to really smart people.

Money—investing, personal finance, and business decisions—is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together.

In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and teaches you how to make better sense of one of life’s most important topics.

Speaking of narratives we want to be true so we tell ourselves a story to make it true - a point of psychology this book makes - reading this book, especially bc of it's title, helps me feel I earned an extra credential as a person managing his own money. For me, it didn’t yield goosebump ah-ha insights that changed my paradigm of how I feel about money, but it did reveal key issues to make me feel wiser. Am I wiser? Doesn’t matter as long as I feel it. Nice job Morgan. I recommend it. Especially for young investors.

Common sense goes a long way when writing a Financial book . The sense of feeling when you get to relate to most of what you can understand when reading. At a time where things don’t matter at the rate of people dying of covid 19. It’s a blessing to have a book that tells you what’s the most important reason to live long and make money . Point blank a breath of fresh air in reading . Buy it and you won’t regret it .
